The Fount of Living Water
From Thirst to Peace
There is a thirst within the human soul that no earthly water can satisfy.
Throughout our lives, we search for happiness, purpose, belonging, and peace. We build our dreams, pursue our ambitions, care for those we love, and seek fulfillment in the many opportunities life places before us. Yet even among our greatest accomplishments and blessings, we may discover a quiet longing within our hearts — a feeling that something greater is waiting to be found.
The Fount of Living Water — From Thirst to Peace is a deeply personal and inspiring journey into that longing and the everlasting promise of Jesus Christ.
Through meaningful stories, timeless scriptures, personal experiences, and thoughtful reflections, Neil T. Munro invites readers to explore one of life’s most important questions: What can truly satisfy the deepest needs of the human soul?
Drawing upon the teachings of Jesus Christ, the King James Bible, and companion witnesses from the Book of Mormon, this book offers a beautiful exploration of faith, forgiveness, hope, spiritual renewal, and the quiet peace that comes from drawing nearer to the Savior.
From the restless search for meaning to the discovery of a deeper and more lasting purpose, each chapter gently guides readers along a spiritual path. Along the way, they are encouraged to recognize God’s presence in ordinary moments, find strength during life’s difficult seasons, and discover how even the smallest acts of faith can bring remarkable changes to the heart.
This is not a book written only for those whose faith is already strong. It is also for those who question, those who struggle, those who have experienced sorrow or disappointment, and those who simply wonder whether there is something more to life than what the world can offer.
At its heart, The Fount of Living Water is a message of invitation rather than judgment, of understanding rather than division, and of hope rather than despair.
It reminds us that the Savior does not ask us to arrive with every answer or without imperfection. He simply invites us to come unto Him.
For the Living Water He offers is not merely something that refreshes us for a moment. It is a divine gift that can transform the way we live, the way we love, and the way we understand our eternal purpose.
A beautiful journey from searching to believing, from uncertainty to faith, and from the thirst of the soul to the everlasting peace found in Jesus Christ.
An Author’s Thought
As I look back upon the many years of my life, I have come to understand that some of our greatest discoveries are not found in the things we accomplish, the possessions we gather, or even the dreams we fulfill. They are found in the quiet moments when we begin to understand what truly matters.
I have experienced many of life’s blessings, along with its responsibilities, uncertainties, and challenges. Through those experiences, I have learned that there is a difference between having a full life and having a soul that is truly at peace.
For me, that difference is found in Jesus Christ.
I wrote The Fount of Living Water because I believe there is a spiritual longing within each of us, whether we recognize it or not. Sometimes that longing comes through sorrow. Sometimes through disappointment. And sometimes it comes when everything in life seems to be going well, yet something within us continues to search.
I believe that longing can become one of God’s greatest invitations.
My hope is that you will find something within these pages that speaks personally to your heart. Perhaps it will be a story, a passage of scripture, a quiet reflection, or simply a thought that causes you to pause and consider your own journey.
I do not expect every reader to share all my beliefs. But I sincerely hope that every reader will feel welcomed, respected, and encouraged to discover a deeper understanding of the Savior’s love.
If this book helps you find renewed hope, greater faith, a more forgiving heart, or even a single moment of lasting peace, then my purpose in writing it will have been fulfilled.
For after all the years we spend searching for life’s answers, perhaps the greatest discovery is also the simplest:
The peace we seek is not found in having everything the world can give us, but in coming to know the One who gave Himself for us. For Living Water is Jesus Christ.
May you discover that Living Water is never beyond your reach.
